Privacy

In short

This website sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. It uses no tracking or analytics and embeds no third-party content, fonts or services. Fonts and images are served from our own web space. There is no form, no customer account and there are no links to other websites. Personal data is only processed as far as technically necessary to deliver the pages.

Controller

The controller for data processing on this website is the operator of Hotel Ahornstraße 1 & 2, Berlin. The controller’s name and address will be added together with the legal notice.

Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Avenue #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and delivered through its server network, primarily from a data centre in Frankfurt am Main. Each time you visit, Vercel processes technically necessary data: your IP address, date and time, the address requested, the previous page (referrer), browser and operating system details, the status code and the amount of data transferred. This data is needed to deliver the pages, detect errors and fend off attacks.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Vercel processes the data on our behalf under its data processing addendum (Art. 28 GDPR). For transfers to the USA, Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (adequacy decision of the European Commission, Art. 45 GDPR) and additionally uses the Commission’s standard contractual clauses. The server logs are kept only as long as needed for operation and security and are then deleted. We do not analyse them ourselves or combine them with other data.

Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing of your data based on our legitimate interest (Art. 21 GDPR). Please address your request to the controller; the contact details will follow with the legal notice.

You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR), for example the authority where you live or the authority responsible for Berlin: the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information (Berliner Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit), Alt-Moabit 59-61, 10555 Berlin, Germany.
